In love with the Truth

Prayer AdventuresThis book of him is, perhaps, my favorite one. It clearly shows to sincere seekers that God is available to all who want to establish a contact with Him. There is no mystery about prayer. Indeed, prayer is an art, but it can be learned and mastered by everyone. Prayer is not about begging God - it is about claiming all that rightfully belongs to us in Truth, it is about transforming of our life and shaping the substance in which we live, and move and have our being. Prayer is not a boring ritual - it is one of the most exciting adventures!
To those who are interested I would like to add that I am the person who translated this book into the Russian language and published it on the web.

Portrait of one destroyer in the Pacific, 1944-45The detailed information, pictures and observations on the Okinawa kamakazi attacks in April and May, 1945 well illustrate the tremendous number of resulting Navy casualites incurred and provided for informed speculation on casualties we might expect from the kamakazi in the impending invasion of Japan proper.

Invaluable ReferenceCharles Fillmore's books in my library include the "Metaphysical Bible Dictionary," "Atom Smashing Power of Mind," "Teach Us to Pray," and "The Revealing Word." Before the time of Anthony Robbins, Zig Zigler, Napoleon Hill or other motivational facilitators, Fillmore's words excited my imagination and stirred my soul. Let's not discuss how long ago that was.
Does a vein of independence in religious thought run through the American psyche? Our freedom sparks revelations and spiritual enlightenment. I have not made a major study of the development of various religious sects, but reviewing this book made me look up some of the folks living during the 19th century who took religious and philosophical theories and pursued them to their metaphysical ends, the nature of ultimate reality.
Is there a certain liberalism in American religion, pulling away from the restrictions of the European models, both catholic and protestant? Without researching more than ten minutes, I found nearly a dozen founders of spiritual groups. I cannot say they influenced each other, since everyone walked a lone path. Just think of these names, all within a hundred years of each other: William Miller (Adventist), Phineas Quimby (New Thought), Mary Baker Eddy (Christian Science), Joseph Smith (Mormon), Charles Fillmore (Unity), Charles Russell (Jehovah's Witness), Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau (Transcendentalism), Helena Blavatsky (Theosophy), and I am sure I have not done justice to many others. What was going on?
Regarding the Dictionary itself, except where the etymology has become lost, the definitions have been traced back to their prototypical root ideas. This nontraditional feature gives us greater clarity for a profound understanding of the Scriptures. Charles Fillmore explained that proper names in Hebrew derive from abstract ideas with connotations that may be good or bad. The MBD explains this in the preface using the example of the word, "Cain." The root means "centralized power or accumulation." So it could mean benign rulership, lawful possession, or it could stand for despotism and extreme selfishness. Both the Hebrew and Egyptian tongues have been a source of confusion. (See Rosemary Clark's "Sacred Tradition in Ancient Egypt.") The idea in the Dictionary is to clarify as much as possible, even offering alternative meanings and spellings. It does not claim to be the final authority, but a stepping stone to a higher realm of spiritual consciousness, toward attainment of the mind "which was also in Christ Jesus."
RE: What Kind of "1984" Nonsense Is This?

For those with open and discerning mindsThat said, this is definitely a book to read. It's not about material prosperity as such, but about over all prosperity in all areas of life. So if your primary aim to get filthy rich, this isn't for you. But if you are seeking a more fulfilling life, a greater understanding and closeness to the Great Power in our universe, and a mind-expanding, soul-enriching reading experience, I recommend this to you.

LOVE THE TITLE. . .I want it on the shelf next to my copy of SUPER BRAIN BREATHING by Paul C. Bragg, and PRACTICAL OCCULTISM IN DAILY LIFE by Dion Fortune.

A great stepping stone into the Real Estate world.
"THE BOOK-- to study to pass the test"Each and every one of these authors has had experience in Real Estate. They explain this information as if the reader already knows the stuff. I would guess that 99% of the fortunes they've made has been through the writing of their books. Everyone wants to find a short-cut, including me.
I finally decided I would go back to the basics, and go to R.E. school, whether I got my license was not the issue. The curriculum for the class is this book. It does not contain any creativity or complex equations, which is perfect for the beginner.
I've read many get-rich in real-estate books, and have found great information in all of them. This book, however, is the meat and spuds. Buy it & read it.

A must have for any collector of the Fillmore posters.
Some ideas of Charles Fillmore in "Talks on Truth" are controversial and they are not shared by all of Unity students in our days, for instance, his teaching on "immortalism." However, let it not stop us from gaining valuable insights from his writings. I am confident that if Charles would be alive, he would object from making a dogma out of his books. He was a thinker and a student of Truth; and it is better for those who read him not to blindly accept his words, but to follow his attitude.
I was happy to translate this book into the Russian language and to publish it on the web.
